Client: American Hardwood Export Council

In 2019 Questia delivered a special project for American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), representing the US hardwood industry. The project was called “Natural Born” and the objective was to promote a natural wood material – American red oak.

A well-known Polish furniture designer, Tomek Rygalik, was engaged in the project who designed a chair using American red oak. This piece, stained in 12 various colours, became the hero of an installation which represented the “Natural Born” creative process.

The project was very well received among the media, designers, and furniture manufacturers; the exhibition was visited by hundreds of people, including students and lecturers of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Media coverage included pieces in the Wirtualna Polska portal, the Radio Zet, the Vogue, the Elle, the Label, the DesignAlive magazines, the, the PLNDesign, the Magazif, the Point of Design, the WhiteMAD, the PropertyDesign, the Sztuka Wnętrza portals, as well as the Kurier Drzewny, the Gazeta Przemysłu Drzewnego trade publications, the Meblosfera, and the Biznes Meblowy portals, plus many others. The exhibition was accompanied by an Instagram campaign managed by @ahec_europe.
